Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of craftbyte.appand any related services (the "Service") provided by CraftByte ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to enter into these Terms.

2. Accounts

• You sign in via Google or GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the underlying account.
• You must provide accurate information about yourself and your product.
• One account per individual. Do not share access.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. The Service

CraftByte helps you turn raw shipping updates into platform-native content for X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Bluesky, and Product Hunt, and lets you schedule or publish that content via the official APIs of those platforms once you connect them.

4. Connected platforms

• When you connect a third-party platform (X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Bluesky, Product Hunt, GitHub, Linear), you authorize us to access and act on your behalf only within the scopes granted.
• Your use of those platforms remains subject to their own terms of service. You are solely responsible for complying with them, including any content, posting frequency, and automation rules.
• We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these platforms. They may change their APIs or policies at any time, which can affect or break parts of the Service.

5. Your content

• You own your content. Anything you input, generate, schedule, or publish through the Service remains yours.
• You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and modify your content solely to operate and provide the Service(e.g. saving drafts, sending raw input to the AI, publishing posts to the platforms you select). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already published to third-party platforms, which lives there under those platforms' terms.
• You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit and publish the content, and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Post spam, harassment, hate speech, illegal content, or content that infringes others' rights.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Circumvent rate limits, free-tier limits, credit limits, or platform API restrictions.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use the Service for any high-risk activity where failure could cause personal injury or significant damage.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7. AI-generated content

• Drafts are generated by Mistral AI. Output may be inaccurate, biased, or unintended. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any generated content before publishing it.
• We make no guarantees about the originality, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose of generated content.
• You are responsible for ensuring published content complies with applicable law and platform rules.

8. Plans, credits, and billing

• The Service offers a Free tier and Pro paid tier. Current limits are described in the app and on the pricing page.
• One credit equals one Mistral AI token (input + output combined). Credits reset on your monthly billing cycle.
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Polar.sh and renew automatically until cancelled. Annual billing may be offered in the future.
• Cancellations: you can cancel at any time through Polar; you keep access until the end of your current billing period.
• Refunds: we do not provide refunds for the current paid month. All payments are otherwise governed by Polar.sh's terms.
• Prices and limits may change. We will give reasonable notice before changes affecting paying users.

9. Free-tier limits

Free accounts are limited (currently: 10 posts during a 7-day trial, 10,000 AI credits per month, 1 connected GitHub repository). Hitting a limit will prompt an upgrade. Limits may be adjusted over time.

10. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties (Supabase, Vercel, Mistral AI, Polar.sh, and the connected platforms). We are not responsible for outages, errors, policy changes, or data loss caused by these third parties.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, including its branding, code, design, and content (excluding your content), is owned by CraftByte and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service per these Terms. No other rights are granted.

12. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or if required by law. We may also discontinue the Service with reasonable notice.
• Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability, dispute resolution) will survive.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT POSTS WILL BE PUBLISHED ON TIME OR AT ALL, AS DELIVERY DEPENDS ON THIRD-PARTY APIS.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CRAFTBYTE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR REPUTATION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO USD $1.00. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CraftByte from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right or applicable law (including the terms of any connected platform).

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You and CraftByte agree to resolve any dispute exclusively in the competent courts of Tirana, Albania, except where applicable law (including mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence) requires otherwise.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you via email or in-app before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Miscellaneous

• If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of the Terms remain in effect.
• Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
• You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and CraftByte regarding the Service.
